Michael B. Jordan: Don't Give Me Black Roles, Please

Michael B. Jordan won’t audition for just any role. And he’s talking about it on “Variety Studio: Actors on Actors.”

In case you missed it, the “Black Panther” star shared with Issa Rae that he told his agents after doing “Fruitvale Station” that he wouldn’t be auditioning for any roles that were written for African Americans. The way he sees it, “Me playing that role is going to make it what it is. I don't want any pre-bias on the character.” His decision seems to be serving him well.

You can see the full interview airs on PBS SoCal KOCE on June 19th, and streams after that on pbssocal.org.
