The mother of a man who survived the Waffle House shooting in Tennessee back in April recently showed her appreciation to the waitress she credits with saving her son's life.
Michael Garth was at the restaurant with a friend. A waitress who was washing dishes asked them to move to another table because she didn't want to splash them with water. Garth believes that may have saved his life.
Moments later, gunman Travis Reinking opened fire, killing four people and wounding two.
Garth's mother, Vickie Davis, was able to track down the waitress to thank her. She also found out that she was planning a wedding soon, so to show her gratitude, Davis got her a wedding dress.
She contacted a bridal store and the shared the story. The store was so touched that it decided to donate the dress.
