You know, she's a little older than that now, on the turntables.
At 83 years old, you might expect Sumiko Iwamura of Japan to be doing things other women her age are doing -- like knitting or playing canasta. But she doesn't have time for knitting because she's too busy spinning ... records, that is.
Iwamura has a regular DJing gig at a hot club where she's known as DJ Sumirock.
She became interested in DJing when she was 77 and went to school to learn how to do it. Since then, her talents have led to guest DJing gigs at other clubs in Japan, and as far away at New Zealand and Paris.
She's also landed in the Guinness World Records book as the world's oldest professional club DJ.
When she's not DJing, she owns and operates a Chinese restaurant. (UPI)
