10 Secrets that Short Guys Will NEVER Tell You Ladies

It's tough being short. You can't reach tall cabinets. People elbow you at concerts. And being a short guy is doubly-tough. Dating standards can be a deal-breaker. And he certainly knows it.

You have to deal with a lot of judgmental people who think being a short guy is somehow a personality flaw. Here are some things short guys tend to keep secret.

They’ll never hog the bed. He’s compact enough that you won’t have to worry about him spreading out into your side or sleepily grabbing an unreasonable amount of the blanket.

Getting judged for being short helps to weed out the idiots. It’s handy to have an easy filter to make sure you’re not getting bottom-of-the-barrel-shallow-morons who just want “tall” guys.

He’s earned this. It doesn’t matter what “it” even is. This guy is fueled by a fiery Napoleonic complex and is always motivated to prove himself.

Kissing a short guy is easy. It’s much more likely he’s close in height to you, and that means no awkward crouching or standing on toes just to make out with each other.

He has no illusions about his height. Guys who are just shy of the 6 foot mark might have trouble admitting they’re 5’11”. Short guys know their height and there’s zero pretense.

His clothes are always in stock. He can usually get things like shoes and dress shirts without special-ordering them. His tall brethren will never know this convenience. Plus, it makes it easier if you’re shopping for gifts for him.

Being short has just as many day-to-day advantages as being tall.Sure, tall guys can reach things on the top shelf, but he can get his arms behind the dresser to grab the earring you dropped.

They’ve already heard every. single. short. joke. So no, maybe this is not the time to debut your half-hour comedy special full of short-guy jokes.

He’s good to go on long road trips. Or any kind of trip, for that matter. He doesn’t need a ton of legroom and won’t get cramps or have to pull the car over to stretch every hour.

His height has always made for a good icebreaker. That pickup line he used on you? Probably not his first time leverage his height to start a conversation. Maybe it was groan-inducing (“Do you have a little Irish in you?”), but self-deprecating humor is always a good ice-breaker.
