Big Al's Weekend Movie Box Office Wrap-Up: Night School Takes the Top Spot

“Night School” starring Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish topped the box office this weekend, raking in $28 million across 3,010 domestic theaters. That’s right on track, considering its projected gross was right in that ballpark of $25 to $30 million. The film beat its fellow newcomer “Smallfoot,” which earned the second spot for its debut with $23 million.

The only other debut this weekend was “Hell Fest,” which made it to the top ten but not with much. It earned the sixth spot with $5-point-one million. For its second week, “The House With A Clock In Its Walls” has continued to be a success, earning the third spot this weekend with $12-point-five million.
