Big Al's Weekend Movie Box Office Wrap-up: Venom Kills It Again!

“Venom” came out on top at the box office for the second week in a row, raking in $33-point-seven million over the weekend. That makes its domestic total $142-point-eight after 10 days in theaters. “A Star Is Born” follows close behind with $28 million, also doing well for its second week.

Unfortunately, “First Man” couldn’t blast off enough to beat “Venom” and “A Star Is Born” for its debut. The highly anticipated Neil Armstrong biopic starring Ryan Gosling made a modest $16-point-five, right within its projected range and earning the third spot. Another newcomer, “Goodbumps 2: Haunted Halloween,” debuted close behind “First Man” with $16-point-two million.

Besides that, “Smallfoot” is still going strong in the fifth spot, making $9-point-three this weekend after three weeks in theaters. It’s followed by “Night School,” which made $8 million over the weekend.
