Has Michael B. Jordan’s mouth written a check that his butt can’t cash? In case you missed it, he was asked if there were any real boxers he could beat with his “Creed” fighter training. He pulled the name Roy Jones Jr. out of the sky. The way he sees it, the 49-year-old has probably slowed down just enough for him to beat him.
Well, Roy was NOT pleased by the implication that he had slowed down.
The pro fighter said, “I know [Michael] can’t beat me still,” Roy said. “I know he’s probably in better condition because he’s younger…but I’m an old school vet.”
Jones is serious about showing the “Creed” star what he can do. In fact, he said that a match would be the perfect promotion for the second installment of movie, which comes out this week. But the fight would have to wait about a month so he could be ready. He told him, “If Michael B wants this real, contact Roy Jones Jr. and we’ll make it happen.”
