Bridal shop Free Ever After isn’t just a place to buy formal dresses and wedding gowns, it’s also an organization that gives 100% of its profits to sex trafficking survivors. People donate their pre-loved dresses and the Tucson, Arizona boutique uses the money for survivor services.
Free Ever After does one-on-one mentoring with women who have been sexually abused and exploited. The nonprofit has been working with the Tucson community for the past five years trying to help these women get back on their feet and back into society.
“These women understand that it’s the community that’s making this happen for them,” explains Abigail Wilhelm, director of operations for Free Ever After. “They can see this shop as a tangible way that the community is loving on and rooting for them.”
