“Avengers: Endgame” hits theaters on April 26th, and it’s safe to say fans can’t wait. There should have been a sigh of relief when pre-sale tickets went up for sale yesterday morning… but things got chaotic pretty quickly. The pre-sales broke more than just records – websites, too!
Atom Tickets reported that the Marvel movie had set a record for the ticket retailer for best first-day sales – it beat “Avengers: Infinity War” by three times within an hour and “Aquaman” by four times within half a day. The movie is also Fandango’s new top first-day seller, beating “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” And over at Regal, the movie is quickly outpacing the ticket pre-sales for any Marvel movie in their history.
While that sounds great, it hasn’t been going so smoothly for the sites or the fans. All that traffic has crashed AMC’s website, and fans are having trouble with Atom and Fandango, too. All the while, the Twitterverse has been going nuts.Check out the reactions below.
