Nipsey Hussle’s death certificate was released yesterday. As we knew, he died of gunshot wounds to the head and torso. What we didn’t know was that he actually lived for 35 minutesafter he was shot.
Meanwhile, we’ve got more details about Nip’s memorial service that’ll take place tomorrow at the Staples Center. The free tickets – which were made available to California residents on the arena’s website – were snapped up quickly.Anthony Hamilton – one of the rapper’s favorites – is expected to performat the service.
Since Staples only accommodates 21-thousand people, Hussle’s funeral processionalwill cover a 25-point-5 mile path through South Los Angelesso that the community he loved so much can pay their respects. His Marathon clothing store will be one of the landmarks on the route that his casket will take before ending up at funeral home in the Crenshaw district.
- ONE MORE THING!Wolfgang Puck’s restaurant in LA Live – which is right across from Staples –will be closedduring Nipsey’s service so that the staffers can mourn one of their regulars. Apparently he and his brother,Samiel Asghedom, loved the place and ate there often. Out of respect, Wolfgang Puck won’t open until dinnertime. Meanwhile, other LA Live restaurants — like Tom’s Urban and Yard House — are adding staff to the schedule. Tom’s is reportedly adding as many as 12 extra servers to accommodate a possible after-service rush.
