South African Business Uses Maggots as Basis for Ice Cream

Gourmet Grubb operates out of Cape Town University of Technology in South Africa and they've come up with a a new ice cream that they say is more eco-friendly. 


Flavors like cocoa or honey are tossed into the ice cream making machine along with the main larvae. Otherwise known as maggots.  

They admit it may not appeal to everyone.
